I'm staying in right now at Xinjhuang Chateau de Chine Hotel. The rooms are clean and a great stay if one is sensitive to noise when sleeping, but they are full of package tourists. Regarding the location, it's ideal for discovering a city in full mutation and close to most landmarks in Taipei with a subway station 6 minutes walking distance away, but the rooms are quite small. The dining experience was also decent and not too crowded, offering a good mix of Western and Chinese choices. The facilities are good, providing room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry.
